A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES REP

As a Business Development Sales Rep, you start each day ready to personally connect with clients and offer them the best possible customer service as well as solutions for their construction or cleaning needs. As you establish and maintain a business relationship with each prospective and current client, you generate new business in your territory. Leveraging your exceptional customer service skills, you make site visits in order to see the needs of our customers as well as answer any questions or concerns they may have. Then, you can provide product information and assist them in selecting the services best suited to their needs. When you make a sale, you make a detailed report of it.

To stay at the top of your game, you participate in networking events and all training sessions. You develop a weekly, monthly, and annual sales plan. As you set these goals, you are motivated to pursue residential and commercial leads, make cold calls, and generate new opportunities for bids. You follow up on sales activity and quality checks to ensure customer satisfaction. When accounts become delinquent, you assist with collections. You enjoy meeting new people and are able to build rapport with general contractors and facilities managers alike. At the end of the day, you feel good about having facilitated commercial cleaning and construction services at fair prices for your clients!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES REP

  • 1 year or more of experience in sales and in making presentations
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of the commercial cleaning or construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
